You can follow either route—or both. Entering Individuals or Specialists does not prevent you from also playing in a Pair or Team.

Create an individual account on kflquiz.com.

Return to kflquiz.com between 25 and 27 September and sign in to your account.

Every participant needs their own account on kflquiz.com.

Invite people you know, or use the optional KFL Finder by 20 September.

One participant creates the entry and adds the other players on KFL.

Festival FAQ
The practical details for new players, solo competitors, pairs and teams.
How do I enter the festival?+
Create a free KFL account using Sign Up. There is no separate festival registration, subscription or ticket.
When can I play?+
All nine competitions open at 00:00 UTC on Friday 25 September and close at 00:00 UTC on Monday 28 September. Everything, including final submission, must be completed before closing.
Where will I find the festival quizzes?+
Sign in at kflquiz.com/app and look for the Festival tab. If that tab is unavailable, the competitions will appear under Upcoming.
Can I enter more than one competition?+
Yes. Play as many of the nine competitions as you like, but each person, Pair or Team receives only one attempt at each applicable competition. Finish one competition before starting another.
Who may participate?+
The festival is open to players aged 18 or over. Every participant must have an individual KFL account and use their real name. Accounts displaying the Russian flag cannot participate under the current KFL rules.
How do Pairs and Teams enter?+
Every participant creates an individual account. One player creates the Pair or Team, invites the others using the email addresses connected to their KFL accounts, and schedules the game. Invitations appear under Teams on the KFL website, not in the invited player's email inbox.
What if I do not have a partner or team?+
Use the KFL Pair & Team Finder by 23:59 UTC on Sunday 20 September. KFL will try to introduce players with compatible availability; a match is not guaranteed. An introduction does not create your KFL Pair or Team, so the proposed players must still confirm, create the entry and schedule it normally. You can also meet players through the KFL Facebook group or KFL Discord.
Can I take breaks between rounds?+
Yes. Breaks between rounds are untimed, and you may continue on another festival day. There are no pauses during a timed round, and the entire competition must still be completed before the festival closes.
May I answer in another language or use translation?+
Yes. Answers may be submitted in any language, and Google Translate, DeepL and built-in browser translation are permitted. Search engines, AI assistants, reference materials and other sources of answers are prohibited.
What happens after I submit a round?+
Review every rejected answer and challenge anything you believe should be accepted. After a non-final round, continue with Next Round. After the final round, or a single Specialists quiz, you must press Submit for Review even if you made no challenges.
What if I have a technical problem?+
Email knowledge.facts.ladder@gmail.com as soon as possible, preferably before finishing the affected competition. Include the competition, round, time, device, browser and a screenshot or detailed description.
When will results and question files be published?+
Official results will be published by the end of Monday 28 September, after challenges and integrity checks. Participants will also be able to download the festival question-and-answer files.
